Although Rekkord might not be a household name in the US, their German-made turntables have been a standard of excellence for nearly half a century. VANA Ltd has been appointed North American distributor and is proud to present these superbly crafted turntables, offered at entry-level prices within the reach of ALL vinyl lovers.

Handmade in the Black Forest, in the same factory where renowned German turntable brands have built their tables for decades, every Rekkord Turntables are assembled by hand and carefully adjusted to achieve exemplary sound quality, reliability and unit-to-unit consistency. Rekkord turntable and tonearm designs benefit from nearly half a century of precision German engineering and their production expertise is a legacy of precision machining and clock-making which predates the invention of the gramophone. (The founders’ original factory opened in 1907.)
Continuously refined over the past five decades, Rekkord’s automatic turntable mechanism has no equal in terms of performance and longevity. Unlike hard-core audiophiles, casual turntable users, as well as those music lovers who haven’t spun vinyl for years, expect automatic operation and Rekkord is almost unique in a wide array of fully-automatic or semi-automatic operation across its product range. Most importantly, Rekkord turntables start below $400 MSRP, with Model F 100P ($399 MSRP) outfitted with Audio Technica’s excellent AT3600L Phono Cartridge and integral Phono Preamp.
Rekkord believes that the superiority of their products requires the finest component parts; for this reason, 99 percent of the components used in their turntables are manufactured within a 25-mile radius of their factory in St. Georgen. Having made precision turntable parts for decades, Rekkord’s suppliers are ideal production partners. The company’s higher range tables utilize a massless (dynamic) downforce adjustment which optimizes the center of gravity directly at the bearing center. This configuration improves tracking and mitigates the deleterious effects of an imperfectly leveled table. The core of this massless system is a carefully manufactured spring design, which has its roots in watchmaking.

Given their extraordinary quality, unmatched value and ease of use, Rekkord is certain to become the brand of choice for retailers, integrators and music lovers. We encourage you to contact VANA and learn more about Rekkord’s collection of uniquely affordable, Automatic and Semi-Automatic Turntables.
All About REKKORD Turntables from Germany
REKKORD is a German turntable manufacturer with deep roots in mechanical engineering and audio design. Based in St. Georgen in the Black Forest, the company draws on more than a century of precision craftsmanship. While the REKKORD name may be new to some, the expertise behind the brand dates back to 1907, and it shows in both the build quality and thoughtful design of their products.
What sets REKKORD apart is their commitment to local, in-house production. Every turntable is hand-assembled in their German workshop, and nearly all of the components—about 99%—are sourced from nearby suppliers. This focus on regional manufacturing helps ensure quality control and preserves traditional German engineering standards in an era of globalized mass production.
Product Overview
REKKORD offers both fully automatic and manual turntables, with a range of models aimed at everyone from casual vinyl listeners to serious audiophiles. Whether you want a plug-and-play setup or a more hands-on, purist experience, they’ve got you covered.
Automatic Turntables
The automatic models are part of REKKORD’s F-series, starting with the F100. This entry-level model is belt-driven and fully automatic, designed for simplicity and ease of use. It comes pre-mounted with an Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge and is available with or without a built-in phono preamp, making it a great option for beginners or those looking for a fuss-free setup.
Stepping up from there is the F300, which includes a higher-quality MDF chassis and a floating sub-chassis for better vibration isolation. It also features an Audio-Technica AT91 cartridge and a lightweight but sturdy aluminum tonearm with a carbon fiber-reinforced headshell. The automatic mechanism works smoothly, and the build has a more refined, elegant feel compared to the F100.
At the top of the automatic range is the F400. This model is more heavily engineered, with a suspended and decoupled sub-chassis that holds the tonearm, platter, and bearing system in an isolated unit. It uses a polished flat belt drive, supports three speeds (33⅓, 45, and 78 rpm), and features a pre-installed Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. The tonearm is an 8.3-inch cardanic design with a detachable carbon fiber headshell, offering both precision and flexibility. With its real wood veneer or lacquer finishes and attention to mechanical detail, the F400 stands out as one of the most sophisticated automatic turntables on the market.
Manual Turntables
For those who prefer to cue their own records and fine-tune their setup, REKKORD also produces the M-series of manual turntables. These models maintain the same commitment to craftsmanship but ditch the automatic mechanics for a more traditional vinyl experience.
The M500 is a fully manual table with a floating sub-chassis and a solid design that nods to classic hi-fi aesthetics. It’s engineered for clean playback and reduced resonance, making it a strong option for enthusiasts who value sound quality and mechanical simplicity.
The flagship manual model, the M600, takes things further. It features a vibration-resistant wooden chassis finished with a deep, multi-stage piano lacquer. The tonearm is a 8.6-inch aluminum design mounted in precision-machined aluminum blocks, allowing for fine tracking and stability. It comes with an Ortofon Quintet Red moving coil cartridge and supports all three standard playback speeds. With its high-end components and attention to resonance control, the M600 is designed for serious vinyl listeners.
Design and Engineering
Across the REKKORD lineup, certain design principles remain consistent. One notable feature is the use of mass-loaded wooden plinths, often made from MDF or HDF and finished with either real wood veneers or polished lacquer. These materials not only contribute to the aesthetics but also improve acoustic isolation and minimize resonance.
Another distinctive engineering touch is REKKORD’s “massless” tracking force system. Unlike more common counterweight designs, this system uses a flat coil spring to apply vertical tracking force. The tonearm’s center of gravity is positioned precisely at its pivot point, ensuring consistent tracking regardless of the arm’s vertical position. This approach is similar in concept to mechanisms used in precision watchmaking, offering subtle but meaningful improvements in tracking accuracy—especially on slightly uneven surfaces.
Reputation and Market Presence
Although REKKORD is relatively new to the North American market, it has a long-standing presence in Europe. Their products are now becoming more widely available through international distributors, and the brand is beginning to make inroads with U.S. and Canadian audiophiles. Reviews from early adopters and audio publications have been generally positive, especially for models like the F300 and F400, which strike a balance between ease of use, build quality, and sound performance.
What many listeners appreciate about REKKORD is that their turntables aren’t just “machines to play records.” They reflect a specific design philosophy: that mechanical elegance, longevity, and attention to detail still matter. Whether it’s the gentle lift of the tonearm at the end of a side or the dampened drop of a stylus onto vinyl, the experience feels deliberate and refined.
Very Nice Turntables, and Look Much Better than in the UK…..Nice Website….How do I buy one…..?
I don’t think that they are on Amazon but they have traditional dealer in the US. Look at their site for a dealer list. If they don’t have it, look to the US Distributor then search.
I hope that helps.
