Brian Kahn has been an audiophile since his teenage years. His first components came from the now defunct Vector Research and he has been hooked on listening to good music through a nice stereo ever since. In the early 1990’s Brian was into car audio and competed in that circuit while he was in college and could not setup a proper home stereo.
With over 25 years of professional experience, Brian Kahn started reviewing audiophile gear in the mid-1990’s for AudioRevolution.com. He has reviewed audio/video gear for several publications including HomeTheaterReview.com and AudiophileReview.com. He has written for Audioholics.com in more of a home theater capacity. Brian has been a repeat, featured guest on KTLA television news (watch the video) to discuss gear and related issues.
Brian’s expertise in the audiophile world comes lands in many categories. Brian is an excellent reviewer of digital audiophile components including DACs and music streamers. Brian is certified in CEA-2010 subwoofer measurements and very much of an audiophile subwoofer setup expert. Brian has done extensive training in digital room correction on platforms like Trinnov, Dirac and Anthem Room Correction. Brian wrote the definitive guide to using audiophile music management software, Roon.
When not calibrating subwoofers or being interviewed on television from the Consumer Electronic Show or the CEDIA Expo, Brian Kahn is a partner at Chapman, Glucksman in West Los Angeles. He has an undergraduate degree from The University of Southern California and a j.D from Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law. Brian also works as a Jugde Pro-tem in Ventura County, California. On the charity side, Brian Kahn is the President of the Board of Directors at the Leonis Adobe Association, which is a working, non-profit museum dedicated to teaching kids about early California history.
