Greg Handy’s Reference Audiophile System

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Greg Handy developed a passion for audio in his early teens when he worked as an installer of car audio systems decades ago. This consumer electronics experience taught him about passive and eternal power amplification, active crossovers, subwoofers and much more.

Soon thereafter, Greg’s interests grew to stereo home audio and multichannel home theater systems. Once he purchased his own single family home, the natural progression was installing audiophile-grade sound systems and theater systems in different rooms, spending lots of time and plenty of money along the way. It wasn’t long before he began doing the same for friends and family.

Greg has written for HomeTheaterReview.com and AudiophileReview.com before becoming a part of the FutureAudiophile.com editorial team exclusively. Greg represents a Generation X voice that is representative of the types of clients who are buying high end audio in the marketplace today.

In 2015 Greg began reviewing audio components professionally online thus he has over 10 years experience in the hobby. Today, Greg is writing equipment reviews for FutureAudiophile.com with the hope of growing awareness on the importance, pleasure, and gratification of a well thought out audio system. Greg has upwards of 100 articles (and growing) in his by line.

Greg is an in-house expert on topics related to digital music streaming. He has reviewed audiophile streamers and/or DAC/Streamers from some of the best companies in the business ranging from Bricasti to HIFI ROSE to Cambridge Audio to Sonos to multiple Bluesound products and even more that play in the BluOS space.

Greg’s system, installed north of Los Angles, is quite refined. It now includes a whole host of streamers which makes sense considering his specialty. He’s got a Pass Labs XP-22 preamp, Pass Labs 60.8 Class-A mono amps and Estelon Aura loudspeakers. These are most of his most recent audiophile system upgrades. Greg also reviews high performance audiophile speakers and mid to higher end electronics.

Outside of the audiophile hobby, professionally Greg is an executive in the home mortgage business.
