SVS, a leading manufacturer of high-performance home audio products, proudly announces the 3000 R|Evolution Series subwoofers, bringing transformative advancements from the flagship R|Evolution platform to make reference subwoofer experiences possible for more people than ever.

Building on the technology platform developed for the 17-Ultra R|Evolution and recently introduced 5000 R|Evolution Series, the 3000 R|Evolution Series represents a complete re-imagining of what is possible from sealed and ported subwoofers. With groundbreaking innovations in driver design, amplifier architecture, power management, and DSP, the new series delivers deeper extension, greater output, and dramatically improved musical accuracy—establishing new benchmarks for performance in its class and well beyond.

The 3000 R|Evolution Series initially consists of two models: the SB-3000 R|Evolution, a compact sealed subwoofer engineered for precision and musical refinement, and the PB-3000 R|Evolution, a ported bass reflex design built for room-pressurizing output with reference-grade control.

Iron Fist in a Velvet Glove – High-Excursion 13-inch SVS Driver

Both models feature an all-new 13-inch high-excursion SVS driver, completely redesigned to deliver massive output with exceptional speed, linearity, and untraceable distortion. At the core of the driver is SVS’s flat-edge wound split-wind voice coil, which maximizes magnetic force at high excursion while reducing mass for improved responsiveness and efficiency. A precision-engineered toroidal ferrite magnet motor, premium aluminum shorting ring, and advanced suspension components ensure pinpoint control even at the highest output levels.

Designed to handle punishing dynamics while revealing the finest musical detail, the new drivers render low frequencies with authority, texture, and tonal accuracy—bringing both cinematic impact and audiophile refinement to any system.

Colossal, Effortless Amplifier Power with Pinpoint Control and Accuracy

Driving the new 13-inch drivers is a 1,200-watt continuous, 4,000+ watt peak Class-D amplifier featuring a fully discrete MOSFET output stage, a design rarely found at this level. The amplifier delivers effortless dynamics while maintaining pristine signal integrity and precise control over the driver at all listening levels.

High current MOSFET output with Class-D efficiency allows the STA-1200D2 amplifier to move massive amounts of current through the fully discrete MOSFETs, enabling the 13″ driver to fully maximize on its potential with output beyond reference levels with pinpoint accuracy.

Supporting the amplifier is an advanced two-stage performance-enhancing SVS Switch Mode Power Supply, engineered to extract maximum performance from a standard household outlet. The system conditions AC line current for optimal performance under any conditions—ensuring clean, stable headroom for the most demanding content.

The Brains Behind the Braun – 295MHz Analog Devices DSP

At the heart of the 3000 R|Evolution Series is a 295MHz Analog Devices DSP, the most sophisticated and advanced processing engine ever used in a consumer subwoofer. The DSP allows a subwoofer to take control of a room with effortless authority, while vastly expanding tuning and control functions.

Advanced digital audio processing and premium DACs with more than 120 dB signal-to-noise ratio provide exceptional headroom, lower noise, and flawless fidelity—resulting in bass that is not only deeper and louder, but clean, fast, and musically accurate.

Advanced Control and Calibration

Calibration and control are managed via the SVS Subwoofer Control Smartphone App, offering one of the most comprehensive tuning interfaces available. Users can adjust volume, low-pass filter, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, port tuning modes (PB-3000 R|Evolution only), and up to six parametric EQ bands, with three onboard memory presets for fast system adjustments.

Balanced XLR inputs, in addition to unbalanced RCA connections, allow seamless integration into both consumer and professional audio systems, making the 3000 R|Evolution Series equally at home in high-end two-channel setups and immersive home theaters.

“The original 3000 Series became the most popular subwoofers worldwide because they struck a rare balance between size, output, and accuracy,” said Gary Yacoubian, President of SVS. “With 3000 R|Evolution, we didn’t just improve that formula—we redefined it. By bringing flagship R|Evolution technology into this series, we’ve delivered deeper bass, greater control, lower distortion, and dramatically improved musicality, while enhancing the user experience. It’s a massive leap forward and a new reference for what subwoofers can achieve anywhere near their price.
